The Timeo Danaos et Dona Ferentes Nero di Troia Puglia IGT 2016 ~ 100% autochthonous Nero di Troia.
This “Trojan horse” has only delicious in his belly!
“Timeo Danaos et Dona Ferentes” is the name of this red wine, alluding to the legendary Trojan horse from Greek mythology: “I fear the Greeks, even if you bring gifts”. The fateful “Danaergeschenk” is then also depicted on the label. This in turn refers here to the autochthonous Apulian grape variety Nero di Troia, the “black one from Troia”. It is said that the town of Troia, in the province of Foggia, was founded by one of the cunning Danaers from the wooden horse, who was struck by a storm on the Apulian coast on his return from the Trojan War. It is also said that an ancestor of the delicious Nero di Troia was once brought from Asia Minor by Greeks. And so don’t be afraid – this animating “horse” from the sunny south of Italy has only good things in its glass belly. Let it in and enjoy the concentrated, palatable and fresh Timeo Danaos et Dona Ferentes Nero di Troia Puglia IGT 2016!
