In light golden yellow, the Tiare Collio Pinot Grigio DOP 2017 invites you to enjoy it, with copper to onion skin reflections. Its bouquet is intense, fruity and creamy. At first a beautiful minerality greets – then flint, pear, white peach, lychee, passion fruit, green banana, still ripening “young” pineapple, winter melon, celery, tomato leaf, elderflower, almond and a hint of vanilla. This is a highlight from Friuli in the “green & flinty style”.
The Tiare Collio Ribolla Gialla DOC is a unique masterpiece from the indigenous vine Ribolla Gialla. Gialla is called yellow, and in a bright straw yellow also presents this Friulian specialty. Green aromas delight the nose – lots of gooseberry and a hint of mint create a fragrance of expressive freshness. The palate is dry, fresh and crunchy on, lively, harmonious and wonderfully supple. Everything flows into a fine, slightly sweet finale with a seemingly eternal echo. We fell in love with the first sip!
Far to the east of northern Italy, near the Slovenian border, lies the Tiare società semplice agricola. It is the life’s work of Roberto Snidarcig, the Italian with the Slovenian name, the “Pignolo” (bean counter, as his wife affectionately calls him). Absolute wine milestones, such as the Tiare Collio Sauvignon Blanc DOC, come from here. In 1985 Roberto started as a hobby winemaker on just one hectare of vineyards, today he collects the highest awards for his wines. At the latest with the “Best Sauvignon Blanc in the world” (Concours Mondial Sauvignon 2014) Tiare has reached the wine olymp.
