Sessantanni Primitivo di Manduria Cantine San Marzano DOP 2014 – Luca Maroni: 98 points & “Italy’s best red wine”. China Wine & Spirits Awards: “Italian Wine of the Year”. 4x Gold & 4x Silver
Luca Maroni’s “Italy’s best red wine” is a force: it is made from highly selected grapes from over 60 years old and very deeply rooted Primitivo grapevines. In colour, it shows its intense black with a bright ruby red core. The nose inspires with a complex, broad and extremely fruity bouquet of cherry jam, plums, cassis with nuances of cedar wood, cinnamon, mocha, black chocolate, earthy aromas and a scent of tobacco leaves. On the palate, Sessantanni Primitivo di Manduria Cantine San Marzano is a powerful wine, extremely soft, beguiling, full-bodied, full-bodied – a very noble wine with a depth that simply does not end.
