At Christmas and New Year’s Eve you can see red in Tuscany! Because of the mild climate, the roses bloom in December. The Christmas tree lighting has to flash red. Wearing red lingerie on New Year’s Eve brings good luck next year. And what are we gonna drink? A red Supertoscan, of course. Not just any one. It must be the supertoscan of superlatives! The Guado al Tasso Il Bruciato Bolgheri DOC is our absolute favourite and bestseller.

Berries, cherries & toasted notes
The bouquet combines red and black fruit with quite “Christmas” spice notes. Raspberries, blueberries, black cherries, delicate roasted aromas and a hint of vanilla, cinnamon and clove add a festive touch to the nose. The taste of “Il Bruciato” impresses with its wonderful melting and perfect structure. The luscious fruit from the nose is also found in the mouth, now in the company of a noble wood tone, which could develop in eight months of barrique ripening. The tannins are artfully woven in, and a long finale will burn itself into our memories and cry out again and again:”More of it!
A typical Tuscan Christmas dish is wild boar stew. The fact that the meat of the wild boar harmonizes perfectly with the Guado al Tasso Il Bruciato Bolgheri DOC is a very happy coincidence, which we should use culinaryy for the celebration!
